Science Olympiad Foundation After two successful workshops in the Macomb Intermediate School District (March 1982) and Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate (January 1983), leaders of science education in southern Michigan planned two very successful in tournaments Lawrence Institute of Technology (April 1983) and Oakland University (May 1984) By combining the events of all disciplines, Science Olympiad encourages a wide range of students to participate.
