Lightning Intel has launched its technology page, and it seems that the name of Light Peak is officially no more. Intel says that speed is sufficient to transfer a high definition movie long (approximately 10 to 20 GB in size) in less than 30 seconds. Intel also reinforces that this is compatible with devices using DisplayPort and PCI Express protocol for better compatibility. The chain is possible, and bus-powered devices, and cables can be made using the optical or electrical construction.
