Ritalin hildren as young as four are problems of drug Ritalin-style behavior in violation of the guidelines of the NHS, The Guardian has found, prompting the company to request the recommended psychological therapy leading to nationwide review.Family treatment of children with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), with prescription drugs used only for children over six years and as a last resort.The figures, based on data from 479 GPs, show rates of prescription were highest for children aged six to 12, reaching just over eight per thousand in the five years to 2008. Children between 13 and 17 had the second highest rate of six per thousand, while over 25 had less than a mile.
