He was a true gentleman all the way.Aradhana, the defining film for Sharmila Tagore’s career, portrayed the actress as a mother. An apprehensive Sharmila Tagore had initially refused the film, but was convinced by family friend and film writer Sachin Bhowmick to take the plunge to star in a mature role. The film fetched Sharmila Tagore the Filmfare award for Best Actress.
