Mjpru Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly was founded in 1975. It was excavated at the University, then Agra. There is an urgent need to establish a separate university in the region has a literacy rate below the national average. The University offers a non-conventional education, vocational and technical education through its network of colleges and universities based in Bareilly institutes
